We’ll be hosting this event in the Nicoya Peninsula - one of the five Blue Zones in the world - where people live the longest.

This is an all-inclusive trip to Costa Rica, which will take place at The Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-Inclusive Golf Resort & Spa.

Each day will be a balance of:

What’s Not Included?

The following services are not included in the ticket:

• Airport transfer to/from the resort

• Extra activities not on the agenda, such as surfing and other local tours

• Kids (see more below)

• Additional night stays (see more below)

Kids: Kids are absolutely welcome, but there is a separate per-day resort fee based on age. There is a kids club during the day that is included in the resort fee and babysitting services for an extra fee late at night.

Additional Nights: As of 4/18/2024, the Westin is 100% occupied and there is no longer the option of staying additional nights outside of the 19th - 22nd.

Keith Blackborg, CPA, reached Work Optional within 10 years due to success as an investor and tax strategist. Keith and his wife Jessica have experience with domestic and international investments, including residential and commercial real estate, lending, startups, and paper assets. Keith served as the director of acquisitions for a hedge fund that transacted the largest private sale of homes in US history.

He used to own a CPA firm focused on high-net-worth real estate investors, including high-volume single-family investors and apartment syndicators. As a tax strategist, he showed clients how to legally save ~5-10% of their income in taxes each year.

Keith and Jessica became millionaires before they were age thirty. Between 2016 & 2017, Keith and Jessica sold the CPA firm and most of their active investments. They transitioned to a board-level role of their wealth business overseeing high ROI passive investments. Keith and Jessica were able to retire comfortably through Work Optional in less than a decade of working.

In the three years that followed, Keith and Jessica traveled around the world while soul searching and seeking what was next. However, traveling and Netflix gets old after a while. Out of the desire to help more, Financial Journey is the manifestation of passion to help others enjoy freedom.

Felipe Pomar is the world’s first surfing champion, having secured this title in 1965. Since then, Felipe has traveled in search of big waves, while successfully investing in real estate around the world. Felipe’s accomplishments and awards are numerous and include:

• From 1965-1975, Felipe  ranked 1st or within top three, in all International big wave competitions and became a Paddle Board Champion in Hawaii, Peru and Europe.

• Received honors from the Peruvian president, Fernando Belaunde, who granted him the highest national sports award “Laureles Deportivos.”

• First person to ride a tsunami.

• Among the first to surf the outside reefs on the North Shore of Oahu.

• Member of numerous international surfing, environmental, investing, and health organizations.

Now, at the age of 80, Felipe is still an active surfer, investor, and certified Health and Longevity Coach.

From adolescence, Christina has been deepening & living her knowledge & awareness of Holistic Medicine & Wellness. As a Doctor (PhD) in Natural Medicine, and practitioner of various integrative modalities, she has early-adopted and specialized in the fields of Yogic/Spiritual Science, Holistic Nutrition, Energy medicine, Quantum Science, Epigenetics, and Rejuvenation therapies. And as a Registered Professional Counsellor (Canada), she is devoted to intuitively and comprehensively guiding clients to balance & health. Christina has blissfully joined missions with her husband Felipe Pomar, imparting both ancient and leading edge tools & techniques to extend & enhance lifespan.

Her upcoming book, "The Naya Effect: A Real-Life Quantum Experiment in Reverse Aging", represents her pioneer study, using herself as subject, perfected over the course of a decade, ultimately culminating in her Doctoral Thesis in Natural Medicine.

Dom is a full-time professional firefighter from California who has spent over 10 years as an elected Firefighter Union officer. As a bitcoin enthusiast since 2017, Dom collaborated with the Santa Monica Firefighter’s union to become the first union in the United States to collectively self-custody bitcoin. Currently, he is building “Proof of Workforce,” a non-profit that empower unions, workers, and organizations to  discover ways in which bitcoin can enhance their mission and well-being. Getting There

The Westin Reserva Conchal is located within an hour drive of Liberia International Airport. Direct flights are available to Liberia from most major US cities, on multiple major airlines. From the airport, you can rent a car, arrange for transportation, or carpool with fellow event attendees (private chat will be available for registered attendees).

For Surfers:

Is this a surf trip?

Yes! This is absolutely a surf trip! We will be surfing before, during, and after the event in the Tamarindo and Nosara areas. Here are some details to better understand our surfing activities:

• If you are a beginner surfer, you will need to arrange lessons and board rentals on your own. There are many options in the area and we can help point you in the right direction after you register for the event.

• If you are an intermediate/advanced surfer, we will be casually meeting up at different breaks (depending on swell direction, tides, weather, timing, etc.). You will need to have your own board and transportation. We will have a private Telegram messaging group for the event, which will allow everyone to coordinate logistics prior to arriving in Costa Rica.

• From June 19-22, we will be surfing in the direct vicinity of the Westin Conchal. The goal is to get in the water and catch some waves between event activities and meals.

• Several days prior and after the event, we’ll be venturing further out to find other waves. Just like any surf trip, you have to stay flexible, be adventurous, and be self sufficient.
